A sparger is used in a tank or tower to increase mixing and gas absorption. Typically, a Flange x Flange reducing design is used allow for ease of maintenance. Spargers come in many different sizes, materials, and designs as they are very application specific. In a lot of cases multiple spargers are used on a single tank.
